Aristotle University of Thessaloniki | 2010
At the end of its four-year term of office, the office of the Rector at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki traditionally publishes a report on its activities. The rectorate authorities for 2006-2010, years which were marked by significant reforms in Greek universities, wanted to issue a timeless publication that would become a model specimen and important archive.
The basic thematic subject matter is made up of the university’s “three pillars” of action: science, research and administration. The "pillar" gave the idea of an ancient memorial column, which references the origins of the academic spirit in ancient Greek culture but also denotes the historic standing of Aristotle University. The column was designed from statements of academic values printed in relief on white to bring to mind the look of marble.
